October News: UQAM acquisition of ‘Extinction flock (29 extinct Australian bird specimens)’: images now on website.

Earlier this year, I completed and exhibited my ‘Extinction Flock (29 extinct Australian bird specimens)’ paintings as part of my final RMIT PhD examination exhibition at the Queensland Museum World Science Festival Brisbane 2016.

The entire series of 29 paintings has since been acquired by the University of Queensland Art Museum, and works can be accessed by the public in this collection. It is the first time a complete contemporary representation of our remaining extinct bird specimens (full species and sub-species extinctions) held in global natural history museum archives, can be seen together in a single Australian institution.

The ‘Extinction flock’ is now available for public view on the website.
