Field Trip is an international research symposium investigating creative practice at the intersection of art, science, technology and the environment.
The hybrid live and digital symposium will explore the ethics of interdisciplinary art and will illuminate how vital creativity is in responding to the climate crisis and reimagining our future.
The event features some of Australia’s leading artists, designers and academics and includes keynote presentations, panels, interactive artworks and participatory experiences that explore the possibilities of presenting ecologically engaged creative work in virtual environments.
Field Trip brings together First Nations knowledge systems, creativity, new technologies and interdisciplinary thinking to confront our past, present and possible futures.
In 2021, the Field Trip theme responds to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal #14: Life Below Water.
