June 15 2019: The end of #lifeonearth

A huge thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition at Metro Arts Brisbane! Met some fantastic people & artists, had some intense passionate conversations, and am left feeling a little more hopeful about our capacity to act on climate and extinction issues…

Here’s some install shots for those of you looking from afar!

Thanks also to Metro Arts and The Dean Collection for helping me make this show happen, and offering the support to do this show right 🙏

…and to the amazing Heather J at the Queensland Museum, whose opening speech moved us all, & who opened the first door for me to see a night parrot… 🖤

A review of the show was also posted thanks to Phil Brown at Brisbane News (see Media in menu).

The support has been incredible! For any sales enquiries please contact Bruce at Bruce Heiser Projects.

Now, back to the studio…

P.S. the painting ‘Endangered Black-throated finch (Peophila cincta cincta, Queensland Museum)’ 2019 has a new home! Frame donated by the wonderful Kevan at Arthouse Northside in Deagon Qld. 100% of the $1250 sale funds have been shared between two conservation groups – Bush Heritage Australia and Birds Queensland. Please check out their websites for more information on their conservation work with our threatened native species.
