The last week passed in a blur, with the ‘Great Barrier Reef | Anthropocene Project’ opening at Artspace Mackay on the 9th November, and |not|fair| Melbourne opening on the 11th!
Had the pleasure of meeting artists Davida Allen and the current artists in residence Clara Adolph and Samuel Tupuo at the opening, as well as many of the attending guests and locals. With huge thanks to Bruce from Heiser Gallery for flying up for the event, and to Julie and her team at Artspace for a wonderful hang and overall exhibition!

One last thing- the PDF catalogue of works for the ‘Great Barrier Reef |Anthropocene Project’ is available online for $10, with 50% of sales going to the Great Barrier Reef Legacy organisation, who are researching on the GBR right now to find the super corals that may save world reefs from a warming world. The 2017 |not|fair| Melbourne was held in the old Nuttelex Factory in Windsor, days before its impending demolition for new luxury apartments. Curators Tony Lloyd, Sam Leach and Ash Crawford and the board did a fantastic job hanging the show and setting up a memorable opening event that had over 1500 visitors!
Thank you to the |not|fair| Foundation for including my work, all the people who came to visit, and the collector who ran away with my three ‘flying’ extinct birds!
The show runs until Sunday 19th November if you haven’t had the chance to see it. 12 James St Windsor. http://www.notfair.com.au
