A large new work Hunter/hunted 2013, has been made for the group exhibition, ‘Beyond the back fence’.
Hunter/hunted considers the artists’ encounter with the largest Australian outback predator bird, the wedge-tailed eagle, in the city-based natural history museum archive. In the landscape of the museum, the predator has become prey. The hunter now a beautiful collection object, a single species representative of biodiversity for human study.
‘Beyond the back fence’ Exhibition: 29 Oct- 23 Nov, 2013.
Opening drinks Fri 1 Nov, 6-8pm.
